Our Story

Mo Harruna & Amina Harruna

Amina is my mom’s name and it means: truthful, trustworthy and honest. Through a sustainable and ethical baobab trade, Amina will provide life altering incomes for locals and funds for village communities while providing a beneficial health product to the consumers.

We source directly from small ethical harvesters in Ghana and package in the US. By providing an outlet/market for these harvesters, Amina International will create jobs; pay fair wages/ prices thus providing income for families who otherwise live in abject poverty with minimal economic opportunities. Baobab is truly a vehicle for economic development in underserved communities.

Portions of proceeds will be donated to the Kibasibi Foundation and the Ghanaian Women’s Association of Georgia (GWAG)  www.ghanawomen.org to assist towards supporting healthcare and educational initiatives for women and children.
