Mo’s Story
The baobab tree, revered as the "tree of life" across African cultures, embodies resilience and adaptability amid adversity, mirroring my journey from Ghana to entrepreneurship in America. Despite early challenges including political upheaval, relocations, and living in the laundry room of a friend’s home, I learned resilience and perseverance, eventually earning a scholarship to play soccer in college.

After a career in advertising, losing my brother and father prompted me to seek a deeper purpose. A conversation with my mother reignited childhood memories of the baobab fruit, inspiring Gut Goodness. Originally named Amina after my mother, the business aimed to enhance health and support the communities that supply our fruit.
Research revealed the baobab's superfruit status due to its exceptional nutritional profile. Starting with baobab powder, customer demand led us to develop drinkable versions, prompting a rebranding to Gut Goodness, emphasizing both product benefits and personality.

Gut Goodness embodies our commitment to promoting gut health and social responsibility. Our commitment to giving back is evidenced by converting a bus into a mobile clinic and founding the Amina International School. We remain committed to supporting the Ghanaian Women's Association of Georgia, which focuses on maternity care and educational initiatives. Part of the proceeds have been used to renovate maternity hospitals and clinics, and to ship medical equipment and supplies to Ghana.
Each sip of Gut Goodness isn't just a health promise; it's a sip of my story, blending heritage with a commitment to community well-being. It's not just a brand; it's my life's narrative, dedicated to leaving a legacy of goodness.

As much as we are dedicated to taking care of your insides, we are equally committed to taking care of the outside - people and the worlds around us. We are honored to give back and lift up so many who are worthy and who may need us.
We started The GOODNESS COMMUNITY to do just that, and we have only just begun. Every year a portion of our proceeds are donated to people and organizations to help them promote the spreading of goodness to others.
And this is only the beginning of our journey to spreading goodness.
